MANOR FARM YARD
MANOR FARM YARD
We are a small family-run business nestled in the rolling countryside of Wiltshire just outside the cathedral city of Salisbury.
Being surrounded by nature and rolling pastures, we can see first hand the profound risks posed by climate change to our environment. So we’ve put it at the heart of our business.
We ensure all our products are sustainable and recyclable while minimising waste in all our products.
-
Sustainability
The majority of our product inputs are from recycled sources, even down to the pallet strapping! Our farm functions on a sustainable low carbon status. We can offer guidance on all types of environmentally friendly green roofing systems as well as guidance on how best to minimise the impact of your roof throughout its lifetime.
-
Conservation
The farm itself is sited within a Conservation Area where we actively encourage as much biodiversity as we can. Due to our habitat restoration efforts our farm is now home to amber-listed species such as the reclusive Stone Curlew.
-
Biodiversity
Sedum is a huge magnet for all flora and fauna both large and small – the bees and butterflies love it! We have years of experience growing sedum and this has helped us to fine tune our sedum mix to ensure that native sedums are prioritised to best support and enrich the surrounding ecosystem.
-
Home Grown
At Manor Farm we grow everything needed for your Green or Living roof. We have over 10 species of sedum growing on our fields.
-
Support Local
We are proud to source all our products from British suppliers with the solitary exception of the recycled trays, which are made in Europe.
-
Future Planning
We are committed to improving and being greener year on year. After all, there’s too much at stake not to.
We measure our success not just in thriving rooftops, but in the lasting relationships we build and the positive environmental legacy we create for future generations.
MEET THE TEAM
Toby Rasch
Director & Farm Manager
Covering sales, marketing and production no two days are the same! Since studying the built environment at university, I have come to understand the outsized impact that this sector has on the natural world. In an effort to combat the notion that the natural environment is separate to that of the built environment, I set up Sedum Green Roof to better develop this relationship. Outside of the farm, I can be seen fly fishing the many chalk streams of the English south west!
Terry
Head of Operations
Very much the brawn of the business, Terry’s practical know-how from sowing to growing is critical to our operation. As an avid motocross fan, Terry is often found zooming across Salisbury plain on his 125cc dirt bike!
