Our 300gsm geotextile fleece provides an essential protective layer between your waterproof membrane and the base of your green roof trays. Designed to prevent abrasion during installation and ongoing maintenance, it also enhances overall drainage performance, helping water move freely across the roof system. Many waterproofing manufacturers require a protective fleece to maintain their warranty, so it’s always worth checking your membrane supplier’s guidance before installation. This simple, lightweight layer offers peace of mind and added durability for any green roof build.

Delivery and Measuring Information

Calculating how much geotextile fleece you need is straightforward - it should closely match your total green roof area. We recommend ordering an additional 5-10% to allow for trimming around edges and creating the necessary overlaps between adjacent 1m-wide lengths, ensuring full and reliable coverage.

If ordered on its own, the fleece will arrive strapped to a pallet. When purchased alongside our sedum trays, the roll is securely strapped on top of the trays. All fleece orders are shipped via the national pallet network, arriving on your chosen day between 9am and 4:30pm.

Collecting your order:

Prefer to collect your order yourself? No problem. If you’re a tradesperson arriving in a truck, transit or van, we can stack, strap and load your trays directly onto your vehicle using our forklift, or handball them on if you’d prefer. For smaller orders collected in a day-to-day car, we recommend folding down the seats to maximise space and laying a waterproof sheet or tarpaulin in the boot, as the sedum trays can release water in transit. Because we’re not always on site and each order needs preparing in advance, it’s essential that you book your collection slot—please contact us at least a couple of days before you plan to arrive so we can have everything ready for you. We generally accept collections from 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday.
