To fleece or not to fleece?

Before ordering a green roof, one of the many questions that you should be asking yourself is whether you need an additional geotextile fleece layer in between the bottom of the trays and the waterproof membrane.

More often than not the answer to this question lies in the T&C’s of the waterproof membrane supplier.

Some suppliers stipulate that you need to have this fleece layer in place in order for your guarantee to apply.

From experience most of the time this isn’t necessary but it is still worth having a quick check in order to avoid any future nasty surprises!
