Autumn Green roof maintenance

Autumn Green roof maintenance

Now Autumn is here and the weather is turning colder your sedum roof will start changing colour and preparing for winter. Now is the best time to remove any weeds and dead head any flowers that have dried. Make sure you shake the seeds out before you remove them!

This year we have had quite a few emails saying sedum has not flourished this summer, this is purely down to the cold and dry spring we had. Spring is the growing season and if sedum doesn’t get enough warmth and water then it struggles all year. so if your sedum looked poor this year make sure you weed it now and in the spring water and fertilise it!

Here is the maintenance guide as a reminder https://sedumgreenroof.co.uk/updated-sedum-maintenance-guide-2019/

Have a lovely Autumn!
